What Do Most New Parents Usually Forget?

If you ask any mother what is the most important thing to get ready for the birth of a baby, then you are bound to get a wide variety of answers because we all think different things are important. For some people then allowing your baby to sleep is critical because it is when they sleep that their body gets to grow, and babies do a lot of sleeping and growing, so for those people they would say a crib or bassinet is the first thing you need to buy.

Other people will say that surely the safety of your baby is the most important thing so you need to spend the time and money to properly baby proof your house. That means buying socket blanks, and locks for cupboards, moving things off low shelves, putting corner protectors on low tables etc, and obviously putting dangerous chemicals securely out of reach.

Some others might say that preparing for your baby to get sick is the most important thing, because often they get sick in the middle of the night when you can’t just nip out and get what you need. So you might want to get a baby ear thermometer to measure their temperature, and some basic medicines, as well as make sure you have all the phone numbers you need in the case of an emergency, and maybe a book on baby health you can refer to if you are worrying.

In reality though, all of these things are as important as each other, you need to have all of this ready for the birth so you are not caught out.
